The Plan of Salvation

You know, we really make this a lot harder than it should be.  The Bible says that whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  This is the most simple way that I can present the good news of Jesus to you.  Just call out to Him and you will be saved.

Jesus came to Earth to reclaim the birthright of all men.  Our real birthright and our created purpose is a complete and fulfilling relationship with God the Father.  He's the one who created us for that very reason!  We were created to serve Him and worship Him and love him.  But when Adam disobeyed God, all of mankind came under a curse.  

The real shame of the curse was a loss of relationship with God, so Jesus came to restore our relationship to God.  It's awesome that Jesus was willing to come and die for you and me, and all that He asks is that we believe on Him and serve Him.  As you pray, allow the Holy Spirit to reveal to you the facts and reality of the words you pray - just accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  He wants to come in and give you that relationship that you have sought, the one you have been missing.  And praying is really simple - it is a conversation between you and God.  So sit down and prepare for the conversation with Him now, read the words that are written here, say them to Him and believe them, and your life will be forever different.

Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for coming to the Earth and living as a man and dying for my sins.  I believe that you were born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for me and my sins, and that I will live with you in Heaven forever after this life is over.  I thank you now for saving me.  I give my life to you and I will serve you.  Thank you for hearing my simple prayer and loving me.  And thank you for making me into the person you want me to be.  I know right now that I am saved according to your Word. Amen.
