Christian Value Principles
Some of the core value principles that we hold as Christians in
ministry are listed below. They are not in a certain order,
and I am sure that this is not an all-inclusive list. Remember
always that our relationship to the Lord is primary and whatever He
says, goes! We advocate the practice of certain life
principles that are real demonstrations of that Christian
walk.
| Christian Values are essential - here are some we offer: |
|
That list of principles includes:
- Have a consistent prayer life.
- Caring for our spiritual prayer community with love and
understanding.
- Creating an online place where people feel safe.
- Using a conversational style of teaching, preaching,
and writing.
- Keeping worship a priority. Not anything but worship!
- Being honest about our weaknesses. In our weakness, He
is strong!
- Doing less busy-ness. Making our labors count through
time with the King!
- Keep a very simple structure in our life and our
business; not poverty - simplicity!
- Not giving out positions in ministry - God anoints for
service.
- Keeping ministry from being structured like a business.
- Accepting people - no matter what. Loving others, even
when some ask "why?"
- Not accepting sin (as defined by the Bible) in our
lives.
- Staying connected to someone (God) bigger than
ourselves.
- Having a relational missions outreach with
accountability.
- Valuing people.
- Staying true to the great commission.
- Defining values which can be passed on to spiritual sons
and daughters.
- Communicating vision over and over and over.
- Asking questions over and over and over.
- Listening. We all have two ears and one mouth - listen
twice as much as you talk!
- These 3 remain - Faith, Hope, and Love - and the
greatest is Love. Let's practice remembering these 3 each
day!
These are all relevant to our walk with the Lord. Read them
again and again! We may even produce a teaching series on these
points. You and I, we all need good teaching and people that we
can trust to speak into our lives. Do not listen to the wrong
people. You know who they are. Don't listen. Seek wisdom! It is
the best thing (see Proverbs)! |
